Your assignment

For the past few days we have discussed plot elements in class and you have been using a plot map to summarize short stories you have read. We would like you to share your learning and understanding of plot elements with us by blogging about the following topics:

1. Write a blog post discussing what, specifically, you have learned about plot elements. Be sure to discuss any new terms/vocabulary you have learned and what, exactly, you learned about those terms.

2. Think of a story or movie (Not First Day Jitters) you know well and summarize it using the stages of a plot map (see your ISN plot map)- BE SURE TO IDENTIFY THE PLOT ELEMENT FIRST, then give the detail (Ex. Rising action: When Sarah was in the car, she noticed that she couldn't breathe and her hands felt cold and clammy).

3. Why is it important for you, the reader, to know and understand all the different elements of plot and how author's use context clues to develop the plot (use your ISN as a reference tool for plot elements and definitions)?
