VoiceThread About Pull-Out Session

Using VoiceThread is a great and easy way to share information. It's also my belief that it's also can be an effective way to help your students' writing - after all, if they don't know how to tell a story, there's a slim chance they're going to be able to write it.

So we're going to explore this tool by making VoiceThreads about the pull-out sessions we attended this afternoon. I want you to review the information that was presented to you and how you're going to put it into effect in your classroom.

You may collaborate on a VoiceThread with another colleague on this project, but both people must sign-in and leave comments using their identity.

1. First, you need to find the images you're going to use. Find at least 4 images. You can download images from my gallery, use photos on your computer or search for images on the Internet.

2. Log in to VoiceThread using your YISD email address and the password Mr. Mattson gives you.

3. Click on the Create tab and upload the pictures from your computer. (If you're collaborating with another person, have only one of you create the VoiceThread. When you're done uploading pictures, click on Share and enter in your partner's email address. Get Mr. Mattson's help setting this part up.)

4. Click on Comment, then on the Comment button below the pictures. Now you're going to record what you heard and your impressions of that information.

5. Add a title and description. Go through the rest of the options so it'll be available publicly. You're going to link to it on the Teacher News page on the Edgemere website.
